This watch was brought to our workshop to be prepped ready to have custom plating to the externals. This process involves us taking the watch apart so that the individual components can be plated and the watch put back together. This watch was also well worn so we had to polish the parts back to a new condition so that the plating has a complete and new look. As the plating penetrates the metal it does not cover imperfections but highlights them so it is really important to get it right.
Once the watch parts had been plated to a satisfactory standard we were ready to reassemble.
As you can see from the finished product the watch gets a brand new look. It is unique and one of a kind. The look in the dark is awesome because of the contrasting luminous green against the rest of the dial and bezel. These watches are notoriously difficult to have the bezel insert fitted back in to the bezel. Using the correct technique we are able to do this with no problem.
