Certina watch 536.7159.42 SKQ-BB-10485 in for movement exchange repair and clean/polish from Lymm, Cheshire.
This customer found us via a recommendation and they dropped the watch off to a technician at the workshop. Their watch had severe water damage but they had managed to secure a new movement complete and brought it with the watch. However, this was not a straight swap as the watch has one sub dial and the movement was designed for three sub dials. We had to modify the new movement by removing two of the sub dial pinions that would not be in use.
The case was also water damaged so we removed the corrosion and rust from inside the watch to ensure none of the corrosion gets into the new movement and cause and issue.
To finish it off we gave the externals a clean and a touch polish. It looks great now.
