Breitling Super Ocean A13340 2575646 in for new crown and pendant tube from Weston-Super-Mare
This watch was sent into us from a recommendation, the crown would not screw down into place. Although this is a common issue and usually done as part of a maintenance service it had been missed on the last service and the customer mentioned the crown had been a problem for a while. The watch was sent in to us and we were able to order the crown and pendant tube from our supplier. Once it arrived in we set about replacing the part, all was completed and working well, we set the watch on quality control but it unfortunately failed the test. After speaking with the customer the watch was sent to our Brieitling service centre for further diagnostic. We contacted the customer with the findings and they were happy to proceed, we also chose to give the watch a clean and polish. After going through the Xmas period the watch was back on the customer wrist and working as it should.
This ended up being a very complex and unusual repair but we tried to keep the customer updated at every step and although it took longer than we anticipated it was somewhat inevitable and was the most cost effective way to repair. Thank you to this customer for their understanding and letting us persevere to resolve the issue, as you can see it’s now back on the wrist where it belongs.
