Technical stuff

Battery replacement and resealing is the most common type of repair for us at Watch Hub and this is usually done within an hour. Our expertise in this area means that we can replace batteries quickly and with the utmost care. After replacing a battery, we reseal the watch to protect it from contamination and restore the original water resistance level. We stock batteries required for all watch brands including: Omega, Tag Heuer, Longines, Gucci, Rado, Breitling, Cartier, Chopard, Seiko, Michael Kors, Emporio Armani and Casio among many others. Our highly trained technicians have an eye for detail and so will also be able to give you advice to help you maintain your watch and prevent future issues.

What’s involved?

When the case back is removed from a watch, the protective seal is broken, the seal is there to prevent moisture and other contaminants entering the watch. We will clean the case and the case back of your watch, remove and check the old battery and replace it with a high quality Swiss-made battery. We will run a diagnostic check of the circuit and advise how well your watch is performing and indicate if a service may be required in the near future. We will remove the old sealing gasket from the case and the crown, and replace/reapply it using a silicone sealant. Once your watch is back together, we check the watch for water resistance and guarantee all the work that we have completed.
