This watch was booked in for an assessment and found to have a dead cell. Citizen Eco Drive watches draw their power from light so they have a rechargeable cell referred to as a capacitor. These usually last around ten years before they need replacing but often these watches get stored where there is no light source and they run down and stop, if left the cell has to be replaced. A lot of repairers will insist these are serviced but at Watch Hub we do what’s best for the customer and have access to these specialist parts. The new cell has been fitted and the watch will be tested to ensure it works correctly. We have also given the watch a free clean as part of the repair.
