Customised Cartier Santos 2507707AX in to have the crown and stem removed for positive vapour deposition (PVD) plating.

This heavily customised Cartier watch came to the Watch Hub workshop for a quick and simple repair, to remove the crown. The crown was the only part of the watch that had not been plated. Positive vapour deposition allows the chosen material to penetrate the metal. This not only gives the watch a new look but also offers added protection. Some companies will even go as far to say the coating offers extensive protection and makes the watch scratch resistant and a lot more durable. Would you test the theory?

This was completed same day for the customer and the parts were ready for plating.
