This watch was brought to our workshop to be prepped ready to have custom plating to the externals. This process involves us taking the watch apart so that the individual components can be plated and the watch put back together. This watch was also worn so we had to polish the parts back to as close to new condition as possible so that the plating has a complete and new look. As the plating penetrates the metal it does not cover imperfections but highlights them so it is really important to get it right.
Once done this offers a unique new look and the plating helps protect the watch overall.
As you can see the results are amazing and this new coating will not only give the watch a one off unique look but also offers an extra layer of protection against the daily wear and tear. Speaking from first hand view the watch now looks amazing. The below side by side shows the before and after.
