Seiko divers watch 7458-700B in for new glass from West Thurrock, Lakeside, Essex via postal service.

This customer sent this watch in to us after trying a well known jewellers in Lakeside shopping centre. The watch was sent away and the customer was advised it needed a service. The customer declined the work and on receiving the watch back they noticed that the watch bezel was now also stuck in one position.

After contacting Watch Hub the customer decided to send the watch in via our postal service. We completed and assessment and initially advised a new Battery, Glass, Sealing and some some corrective attention would be a sufficient repair. We ordered the new parts and they arrived the next week. Upon disassembly it was clear something had gone wrong during the previous repair as the bezel parts were glued in place and assembled in the wrong order. After lots of cleaning the watch now has a working bezel, new glass and is working perfectly.

We made some advisories after the initial repair was complete, we have now fitted some new spring bars, reshaped the clasp and buffed up the externals of the watch to give it a newer look.

We managed to save the customer some money and get a watch back on the wrist where it belongs. This watch was purchased in 1985 and we hope to have helped it last a little longer.
