Is it safe to post my watch?

Some people have concerns around sending a watch via the post. There is no need to worry. Royal Mail Special Delivery service is very secure and reliable. Lots of watch repairers and jewellers use this service behind closed doors. It is a very quick service with next day delivery. For example, if you send your watch to Watch Hub for a Battery and Reseal, we can complete the work and return to you, often on the same day. So, if you send it to us on Monday, we can have it back to you by Wednesday.

Royal Mail Special Delivery can be insured up to £2500, and is tracked. For added security, the parcel must be signed for at the other end – you’ll even be able to see the details of the signer when using the tracking service. If you are still not sure about sending your watch in the post, then you can find lots of couriers online who will insure your watch for more and will collect direct from your home. The alternative is taking the watch to a middle man who will accept full responsibility for your watch while it’s in their possession. The downside to this is you pay a much higher cost for repair and more than likely they will use Royal Mail too. Want to find out how easy the postal service is? Click here
