Why is it important to keep tools in excellent condition?

You can tell a lot about a repairer when looking at their set of tools. If they take good care of their tools, then they will take good care of your watch.

When most people think of watch repairers, they think of old, dusty workshops with an old watch repairer, tinkering with tiny watch parts. It couldn’t be further from the truth.

Watch repairs are very precise and clinical. Keeping our tools (and the workshop) in an immaculate condition means we work effectively and do not damage watches. One of the biggest causes of accidental damage when repairing a watch is poorly maintained tools. This is 100% avoidable by keeping them in excellent condition. The old saying “A good tradesman never blames his tools” definitely applies here. A good watch technician should always have great tools that are in great condition and have no reason to be blamed for accidents. This is why here at Watch Hub, our tools are always in great condition.
