Seiko watch 7T32 6M10 and FCUK watch N9 SR927 SW in for service, batteries, resealing, new crown/winder, new glass, clean and polish from Campbeltown, Argyll and Bute.
These 2 watches arrived in the workshop together from the same customer after they filled out and online assessment form. They explained the issues as they understood them and we estimated a price for repair. The customer was happy with the estimate and sent them both in for repair. Once they had arrived and been assessed we were able relay the information to the customer and get the go ahead to complete the required works.
The Seiko watch had a setting fault as the chronograph hands would not align to the 12 position. A very simple fix to reset these and this can be done using a sequence of button pushes when the main crown is pulled out. The customer took advantage of the fact they were sending in the other watch to have us take a look. They decided to have the battery replaced and the watch resealed too, the watch was tested for water resistance after this was complete. We offered a discount for a new glass, clean and to tighten the shoulder wings which the customer had done.
The FCUK watch repair was a little bit more complex than the SEIKO as it had a clear fault with the movement. The hands would not reset and the watch was not functioning correctly. This watch also had a heavily corroded crown that needed replacing. We measured the crown and ordered the replacement part. We also ordered an entire new movement for the watch as this was the quickest and most cost effective way to compete the repair.
Both of these watches were repaired in less than a week and returned to the customer with a 12 month guarantee.
