Rolex Clock, in for dial clean from East Leake, Loughborough

More of the unusual work today. This customer had a very unique Rolex display clock with a RAM1 type movement, a piece that is very hard to get a hold of as they are specifically released to authorised dealers only. This was a solid metal design and weighed about 5KG in total. This is not something we would usually complete but there was a real interest to see this piece so we offered our services.

This customer wanted to clean the hands and dial. We used pressurised air and very soft brushes to remove contamination that had built up over time. We gave the inside of the glass a clean to make sure it was nice and clear. The external gold plating also got a clean and buff to look good.

The clock had some time keeping issues and the minute hand seemed to be the problem, after cleaning and tightening everything it is now keeping great time as it should.

A quick solution for this customer that needed a fast turnaround.
