Vostok europe watch (Boctok) Russian watch in this week for a Service repair as the winder had stopped moving the hands and the watch was not keeping time. This was a return customer who had had another watch Serviced a few weeks prior. They were happy with the service they received and emailed us about this unusual piece.
Parts for Vostok Europe watches are very hard to obtain as the original movements are heavily modified for the Europe market. Watch Hub have accounts direct with the manufacturer in Russia for the original parts. This means we can order full Automatic movements and add the required modified parts where necessary. Eagle eyed enthusiasts will spot the subtle difference to the 2 movements above. As this watch has an exhibition case back (glass back) this part of the movement is also very different with blued screws and a branded oscillating weight. All the parts were transferred over to the new movement. We replaced the damage parts and serviced this watch.
The repair took a few weeks to complete but is now back on the customer’s wrist where it belongs.
