Why should you clean your watch?
Most people wear their watch all day, every day. Over time a watch will build up with dirt, dead skin and other contamination. Yes, that is correct, dead skin.
Have you ever noticed that when you remove your watch there are black marks on your wrist? Or maybe your wrist itches from time to time? Either way this is usually caused from the build up that occurs, not only is it unpleasant to think about it can actually cause the bracelet of strap to fail if left untreated. The contamination build up can corrode components in the bracelet/strap causing it to fail. Worst case scenario is the watch could fall off your wrist and be lost.
There is a solution, your watch needs to be cleaned. There are various ways to clean your watch. There are plenty of products on the market but in all honesty most of these product are gimmicky and only create a visual improvement, they do not get to the root of the issue. The best way, by far, to clean a bracelet is to remove it and place it into a clean ultrasonic bath with fresh fluid. Ultrasonic baths use ultrasonic waves to vibrate through the solution and remove all the dirt away from the bracelet, it can reach places no '“specialised” cleaning solutions can on their own. An ultrasonic bath will also disinfect a bracelet when used with the correct cleaning solution. Watch Hub is offering this service free. (until the end of July 2020.)
